Google Ads

Google Ads agency and PPC management for South African businesses.

Our PPC specialists build and run Google Ads that pay their way: the right searches, tight negative keywords, ads matched to landing pages, and every call and form tracked, in an account that stays yours.

The short answer

Shown is a Google Ads and search engine marketing (SEM) agency in South Africa that sets up and manages pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns on Google Search, Maps, Shopping, YouTube and Performance Max, with conversion tracking on every call, form and sale. Google Ads charges for every click, so good management means buying the right clicks: keywords matched to buyer intent, negative keywords that block the rest, ads and landing pages that match the search, and bids set by what produces enquiries. Setup is from R9,950 once-off, then management from R4,950 a month or 15% of ad spend, whichever is higher. You pay Google directly for the ads.

What our pay-per-click management covers

Every kind of Google advertising, used only where it earns its place in your budget.

Search campaigns

Keywords chosen from our warehouse of South African searches, match types set on purpose, negative keyword lists from day one, and ads written for each group of searches.

Local and call campaigns

Targeting by suburb or radius, call and location assets tied to your Google Business Profile, and ad schedules set to the hours someone can answer the phone.

Shopping and Performance Max

Product feeds cleaned in Merchant Center, Shopping campaigns split by margin, and Performance Max only where there is enough conversion data to steer it.

YouTube and remarketing

Video and display ads that bring back people who visited but did not call, with frequency caps so nobody sees your ad twenty times a day.

Conversion tracking

Calls, forms, WhatsApp clicks and sales tracked with Google Analytics 4 and Tag Manager, and imported into Google Ads so bidding learns from real enquiries.

Landing pages

Fast, clear pages built for the search behind each ad. Ad relevance and landing page experience feed Quality Score, which affects what you pay per click.

Where Google Ads budgets leak.

Accounts lose money in the same places. We close them in the first week, before spending another rand.

  • Broad match keywords with no negative keywords, paying for searches that will never buy.
  • Search partners and the Display Network left on in Search campaigns without anyone checking what they bring.
  • Conversion tracking that counts page views or duplicate form fills as leads, so bidding chases the wrong thing.
  • Every ad sending traffic to the home page instead of a page that matches the search.
  • Ads running at 2am, or in areas you do not serve.
  • Nobody reading the search terms report, which shows what people actually typed before they clicked.

Google Ads or SEO?

They do different jobs. The right mix depends on how fast you need calls and how long you plan to compete for the same searches.

ItemGoogle AdsSEO

What you pay forEvery click, for as long as the ads runThe work; ranked pages keep sending visitors

Running both works best: ads buy calls now and show which searches convert; SEO then wins those searches without the per-click bill. We run both, in one report.

Campaigns structured by service and area, keywords and negatives set, ads and assets written, and landing pages fixed or built.

Every week after

Optimise

Search terms, bids, budgets and ad tests reviewed weekly. Budget moves to whatever produces enquiries at the lowest cost.

Questions buyers ask us

How much does Google Ads management cost in South Africa?

Our management starts at R4,950 a month, or 15% of ad spend once you spend more than R33,000 a month, after a once-off setup from R9,950. Ad spend is separate and paid to Google. For what clicks cost in your industry, see our Google Ads cost guide.

How much should I spend on Google Ads?

Work back from your cost per click and the enquiries you need. If a click in your market costs R25 and one in ten visitors enquires, twenty enquiries a month needs about 200 clicks, or R5,000 of ad spend. We set a starting budget from your real numbers in the free audit.

Do I own the Google Ads account?

Yes. The account is created in your name and billed to your card. We work in it through a manager account with your permission, and if you leave, the account, its history and its data stay with you.

How quickly do Google Ads start working?

Ads can show as soon as they are approved, often the same day. The first two to four weeks are for learning which searches convert, what to block and what to bid. Judge the account on cost per enquiry once it has enough data, not on the first week.

Why hire a pay-per-click management company instead of running ads yourself?

Google's default settings favour spending: broad match, search partners and automatically applied recommendations. A good PPC company earns its fee by blocking wasted clicks, tracking real enquiries and testing ads every week. If you know the settings and have the hours, you can run it yourself; most business owners do not.

Can you fix an account another agency set up?

Yes. We start with an audit of the account, its tracking and its search terms, show you where the money went, and close the leaks before spending more.

Do you run Google Ads for businesses in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban?

Yes. We run campaigns for businesses across South Africa, including Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and Pretoria, targeted to the suburbs and towns you actually serve.

Is Google Ads the same as AdWords and SEM?

Yes, near enough. Google renamed AdWords to Google Ads in 2018. Search engine marketing (SEM) means paid ads on search engines, which in South Africa is mostly Google Ads, plus Microsoft Advertising on Bing. PPC (pay per click) describes how you pay for them.

Do you run Microsoft Ads too?

Yes. Microsoft Advertising shows ads on Bing and its partner sites, often at a lower cost per click than Google. We can copy proven Google campaigns across and report both together.
